i have a sat nav called navman icn 510 and it will not switch on withouth the charger pluged in?

i have tried to reset it and have switched the battry on and off at the back but it wont come on without being pluged in. can anyone tell me what the problem might be or how to fix it?

could be a dead battery

It sounds like the battery has discharged. Turn it on with it plugged in so the battery will recharge. Refer to your manual as far as the battery on/off switch setting when recharging.
