Not worth the trouble. The item was “in stock” but took 7 days for amazon to ship the item. No help from costumer service. Plus, another 8 days with good old free shipping to get it. So don’t buy it unless you can wait 15 days or more to get it.

Unfortunately, the cord I received plugged into my gps, but would not charge it. So, it was a waste of money for me. I had to use my computer to charge my gps and use batter power when I drive, which is what I wanted to avoid.

I bought this cable as a replacement for the one that came with my Nuvi, after the original cable was destroyed in a car accident. Unfortunately, the original cable had a traffic receiver built in, so you obviously will no longer receive traffic data if you replace that with this one (that replacement cable is around $100). However, for supplying power, this cable is excellent. It fits solidly into the Nuvi and I have no worries that it will ever slip out or become loose. The cable itself feels plenty think and sturdy. If you’re just looking for a spare charger, this is the one to get!
